14th Anniversary of the Servants of the Plan of God

LIMA, August 17, 2012.- The Servants of the Plan of God celebrated their fourteenth anniversary of foundation on August 15, the Solemnity of Assumption of Mary, in thanksgiving with a Eucharistic celebration in Lima and the respective dioceses around the world where they are present. In Lima, the Holy Mass was celebrated by the His Excellency Monsignor Adriano Pacifico Tomasi, Auxiliar Bishop, and co-celebrated by various priests. Gathered at the Our Lady of Reconciliation parish in fervent spirit of prayer, the sisters together with the members of the Sodalit Family, their benefactors and friends, elevated their thanksgiving to God. In the homily, Mons. Tomasi mentioned, “…today, we can sing with Mary and the Church the Magnificat, expressing the astonishment and gratitude for the great things that the Spirit have bestowed upon His daughters of predilection: the Servants”.

Then he explained, “I consider that this divine intervention and life of the community of the Servants can only be explained by the four great loves that are manifested in their writings, in their letters, and above all, that inspire their life. The love of Christ, whom they have married to by their consecration, the love to the Church whom the servants profess their fidelity, which challenges the false idea of freedom that is lived and proclaimed by many in the society nowadays because they have opted to live the faith of the Church. And finally, the love to the brothers and sisters whom they serve in evangelization and the testimony of charity, out of love for Christ who has called them to this holy vocation and mission.” Later on, he added that the Servants “… with simplicity and credibility through their own lives, they know how to show the transforming force of the Christian faith and the happiness to be always with the Lord”.
